H. Daniel Fuller

Biography

Mr. Fuller began his legal career upon graduation from law school in 1982. He joined the Orange County office of the international law firm of Paul Hastings, Janofsky and Walker practicing business litigation. Now, 44 years later, he is still practicing business litigation with an emphasis in trade secret, trademark and unfair competition litigation, as well as general commercial litigation involving real estate, employment, and contract disputes of all types. His goal is always to avoid litigation where possible because it is usually not the best way to resolve disputes. However, sometimes it is the only way and, when that is the case, he vigorously represents his client’s interests in that litigation. That representation extends to mediations, arbitrations, court (judge) trials and jury trials as well as appeals where appropriate.

The major problem with litigation is the cost, and the time that it takes to achieve a resolution. The cost, in time and money, as well as the emotional toll that litigation takes on the parties must be weighed against the potential outcome before choosing to litigate. In some cases, however, there is no choice because a client has been sued by a third-party and must be defended. In either event, once litigation begins it is important that a client knows that their interests are of paramount concern to the law not only in achieving a good result, but in doing so efficiently and economically.
